In the past weeks the swine flu has bring panic to people around the world, we have to be prepared. The disease has spread in many countries and people have to be aware of what is it and how to prevent it.The US government has declared a public health emergency.
What is The Swine Flu?
This new virus coming from the pigs. It is not common in humans but it could happen. It is a respiratory disease caused by three different virus called A, B and C.
Characteristics of The Influenza:
It is easily transmitted from human to human, causing a fast spread among humans. The virus is transmitted by saliva (sneeze, cough) or contact with any contaminated surface. It is not spread by eating pork. infected people could spread 1 day before developing any symptoms and 7 days after getting sick.
Symptoms:
Typical symptoms are: high fever above 100.4 degrees, coughing, muscle and articulations ache, running nose, sore throat, general body ache, tiredness. Some people have reported vomiting and diarrhea.
Precautions:
Avoid contact with people infected with the virus and in general with people with any flu.Also wash your hands constantly. Avoid conglomeration of people such as public transportation, events (concerts, large meetings) and especially airports. In case of being in crowded places cover nose and mouth and avoid touching your eyes. Avoid hugging and kissing other people and do not share food or beverages.
Sensitive Poeple to Influenza & At High Risk:
The most sensitive poeple are children under 5 years old, adults 60 and older, and people with respiratory diseasees.

People traveling, especially to Mexico.
